“For the last two years, my community has been working with the One America Movement to implement a project called One America West Virginia. This project brings together American Muslims, conservative Evangelical Christians, and Jewish people to build relationships across divides to fight the opioid epidemic in West Virginia. We have benefited greatly from the partnership with One America. Without the One America Movement, we would not have relationships with a conservative Evangelical congregation. We would not have the opportunity to learn from each other or serve the community the way we have. As a leader in the Muslim community, I truly value the impact and awareness this project has brought to my community. Building the relationships I have through One America Movement and reaching out across the religious divide gives me hope.”
